Bush

Tomorrow we will have a new president. As this 8 year nightmare finally comes to an end I find myself reflecting on the past and my good ol' livejournal came to mind.

In honor of President Bush's FINAL day in office, I shall come out of my self imposed LJ exile and leave the following picture as tribute to his entire administration.

goodbye...you bastard.

war of the stereos

The people in the apartment above me are being even gayer than usual.
They've been complaining (i.e. stomping on the floor) all week over my stereo. This strikes me as odd since we have lived in this shitty apartment for years and I've always blasted my music ever since they first moved in.

Either way, the kid upstairs started blasting 311 at full blast while I was eating a little while ago. I decided to oblidge the little bastard and play the exact same song from my computer speakers at full volume. It was like that old I Love Lucy episode where Harpo Marx and Lucy were duplicating each others moves. After about two more 311 songs the kid put on some hip hop stuff and opened his window so it echoed through the carports below.

I decided to sync my stereo system and computer speakers together and play NONE SO VILE (CD and MP3 together) in retaliation. Call me childish but this sure is fun.
Lucky I have to get ready for work soon or just let Pig Destroyer run all night.

LIFE

God im lazy. The new year has been just as gay as the last.
I need a raise or a new job....or need to find some rich old jewish sugar mamma to pay my bills for me.

I've decided to take the winter semester off from gay ol' school. I'll be back in spring finishing up my math & science requirement before I (finally) transfer over to Cal State LA in fall.

Me and my evil pal from work headed down to Hollywood on Friday to watch SLAYER perform on the Jimmy Kimmel show. Too bad a couple thousand other people got there before us! We ended up on the roof of the parking garage next door and watched anyways:

They played two new songs for the tv cameras then busted out 4 "classics" for all of us die hard freezing fans.

Tower Records is going out of business! Horrible....just horrible.
ELAC isn't going to be the same now.

Napalm Death and The Black Dahlia Murder were awesome Monday night. I think I pushed myself over the edge this past week. Going to all those shows, working and staying up late trying to catch up on homework. I woke up Tues feeling sluggish and now I'm at the early stages of dying. I can't really get sick though because I've got 2 tests next week that I cant afford to fuck up.

THE DEPARTED was awesome. I saw it yesterday (I think the excessive amount of popcorn I ate might have contributed to my weakened condition) and I think its probably the best movie of the year. Go see it.

TIME FLIES!

So I havent posted since my BIRTHDAY!
Holy crap....where to begin?

Fall 2006 at ELAC is going ok. For the first time in my life Im not totally lost in MATH!
Im closer and closer to getting my raise at work. By Christmas time I should be at $13.00 an hour.

My internet has been REALLY horrible lately (which has had a lot to do with my lack of updates) and my computer might be infected with a virus. I dont know but I damn near punched a hole through the cpu last week because it kept freezing. I need to either stop downloading so many CD's or reduce my porn intake because its one or the other thats killing my comp! haha.

Jackass Number Two was so good I had to see it twice.
I just bought Scarface and The Little Mermaid on DVD and the special features on both are fascinating.

I saw Mastodon play last friday night w/ Converge and they RULED my life.
Tomorrow night its Misery Index, Saturday night is Celtic Frost & Goatwhore and Monday is Napalm Death, The Black Dahlia Murder & Hatebreed. All these damn shows....its no wonder im BROKE.

So many people at work are sick and dying. One of them must have got to me because I've felt like shit the past few days (which caused me to miss 1349 playing last night!) Other than that its the same old crap going on in my life.

"One man's trash is another man's treasure."
If thats true, im ready to start crawling through some dumpsters.

Another year.....

Holy crap I'm getting old. 21 is still considered a young man true...but wow.

SO yeah, today is my birthday. I havent been too found of birthdays ever since I turned 13. Thats when I realized I wasn't a little kid anymore (which was bullshit because I felt exactly the same as before....much like I feel exactly the same now and have no desire to get drunk or procreate) and was one step closer to dying. Morbid yeah, but its the truth. I dont HATE my birthday, but its just not something I make a big deal about. I guess my manager Ben is right when he says I'm a negative person!

Tonight im going to dinner with my parents and Saturday is the big "entire family" shin dig my mom is throwing at Dave And Busters. Its strictly for family, since I've come to the conclusion that mixing friends with relatives is NEVER good in my case.

You probably read about how I bought myself a 60gig video iPod and a new drum set with cymbals about a month back as an early birthday gift to myself. I got another awesome gift yesterday from a good friend....a new cell phone! Like a dumbass I lost my old "warrior" Cingular LG while leaving school. Like 15 mins I suspended the account I get a call at my house saying...."hey, dont worry I got you a new one!" Sometimes it doesnt suck to be me =)

my Iron Maiden adventure.......

Iron Maiden tickets went onsale this morning at 10:00am. There was no way I was going to be able to be there that early since I worked late the night before (2:30am) and had to be back this morning by 11:30am. I figured I could make it to ticketmaster a little before 11:00 and still make it to work on time....but that long ass line of Maiden fans had to go and screw up my plans!

After being open for almost an hour there was still at least 30 people in line waiting. Not the longest line but murder for someone in a hurry like me. I left, defeated, and went to work. 6:30pm comes, I'm off work and race back to get my tickets. Saddly, I arrive during the ONE hour of the day that the ticketmaster booth is closed. Angered, I head home and try ticketmaster.com myself, no longer caring about the extra fees. Of course now the only seats availble are near the damn lawn. I've been stuck up there before at this same venue and was NOT about to go back for another helping of shit seats.

Out of anger/desperation I resorted to using an online ticket broker run by scalpers and pirates who charge more than Maiden themselves will probably get paid for playing that night.
The price doesn't bother me all that much (who needs a new cell phone anyways?), its the BATTLE I had to wage for my seats that did it.....plus shit like this has been happening to me ALL WEEK!

Yesterday I went to the Orange County fair for the first time in YEARS. The gf's aunt had free tickets so bam, off we went. Shit was expensive ($10 for a burrito/soda) but there was all sorts of scantly clad orange county chicks roaming around PLUS they had an exhibit building with chiropractor's giving free spinal exams...

For those of you who dont know, my neck/shoulders crack & ache like an old man. I've been dreaming of the day when I can figure out whats wrong with me, low and be hold my problems are solved at the friggin fair! I went to two different Dr.'s and they both said the same thing:
"What kind of serious injury have you sustained to cause such tension in this area?"
HAHA. Once I told them how un-athletic I am and havent had a serious accident since elementary school, they figured my fucked up body is STRESS related. Now im seriously going to a chiropractor when my life calms down in fall.

Needless to say, I re-tooled the original mix and have been blasting Tom, Jeff, Kerry and Dave's Slaytanic metal tunes all week...to prepare for next SATURDAY! MUA HA HA HA.

I couldnt go to the Made Out of Babies show last night. 21+ shows SUCK ASS. Seriously, I dont drink and have no interest in gambling but now I cant wait for my birthday next month so I wont ever miss another great show again.
I've been BUSY since my last update.

People are dropping like flies at work. Either quitting, getting fired or going out of state on vacation....its like a ghost town at my store and I've been working beyond slave like hours to pick up the slack. Last week I closed on the 4th of July, wed, thurs and friday nights, then worked a 8 hour mid shift saturday afternoon. They had to send me home early on Sunday because I reached my 40 for the week at 10:30am right after the store opened! My check should be VERY healthy this week.

First session of summer school is almost over. Its safe to say I passed my retard/basic math class. Lets hope this pre-algebra shit comes back to me for my next 5 week class.

I've missed countless shows and fun events this summer due to work/school/lack of funds but did manage to see Misery Index/Cattle Decapitation/Job for a Cowboy earlier in the month and Watch Me Burn & The Dolomite Project last weekend. So there....im not a total hermit.

Fuck its hot. I sort of shaved my head again. The heat makes me do crazy things.

As some of you might know, I bought a 2002 Ford Escort back in Feb to replace my legendary 1987 Honda Civic aka the "shitbox."

I thought this was going to be a step up in the world for me but alas, the escort is turning into shitbox #2. The tires makes a loud LOUD noise for no damn reason and once a get past 50 niles per hour it sounds like your driving inside a wind tunnel. We thought it was just the tires since my grandma (who sold me the car) said she bought the cheapest ones around and they always gave her problems. 4 brand new tires and several hundred dollars later the noise HASNT gone away and now my breaks are acting up.

My step dad tells me during the week not to worry and we are going back to the dealer where his mom bought the car on Monday to have the noise looked at. Now he says I'm going to meet her there bymyself (even though I'll have no way back to school). Then he tells me the dealership plans to charge $400 for some bs 60,000 mile service inspection....

I was like WTF is going on here? This isn't what we talked about. I just wanted them to operate on my fucking tires, not charge me an arm and a leg to change my oil/filters. He couldn't understand why I was reacting in such a way and his nonexistent communication skills only got me more pissed off. Its like talking to a child....and I fucking HATE brats.

Momments like this is when I pray for segregation to come back to our society only this time, between "normies" and "gifted" kids. That way problems like this wont ever occur again.

I dont know why....but listening to Iron Maiden's album Piece of Mind makes me want to go sailing. Like become a pirate, explore open waters and rape & pillage my way across the seven seas.

Went and saw the Strokes last week. The Eagles of Death Metal opened....both bands were cool, with the Strokes being great. SOOOOOo many hot chicks roaming around universal studios that night.

The Hellacopters RULED. Quite possible the best rock band on the planet.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=1_X11cEGfis

the audio quality sucks but the vidoe is fun to watch....for me at least! HAHAHA.

I just got tickets for The Strokes this Thursday at the last minute. Looks like fun. And since I'm on the subject I'd like to say the new Cannibal Corpse album is waaaay better than I thought. Those old dogs learned some new tricks. AND NO....I dont find talking about The Strokes & Cannibal Corpse in the same paragraph the least bit odd.

Man o man. Maybe three girls is a little too much for me, especially when Im not really over the last ONE.
All this lust is tiring.

On a different note, after all these years of waiting...I'm finally going to see the Hellacopters play tomorrow night!

After I ate my breakfast this morning (Captain Crunch) I went to the restroom to begin getting ready for class only to find the water has been turned off in my apartment. They sent a notice about them doing some maintainance today but I forgot the times. In the mean while I'm stuck with no shower, no brushing of the teeth or combing of the hair....so that means NO SCHOOL! I was looking for a reason to stay home and watch my new Mastodon dvd anyways.

I got that sucker for $10 at the Murderfest this past Sunday. I had to work and couldnt make it to the other days but day 3 was awesome if I say so myself:

Job For a Cow Boy
All Shall Perish
Kill the Client
Neuraxis
Phobia
Cephalic Carnage
Vital Remains....they all ruled.
Plus the thousands of other bands that played were pretty good also.
